Chinese Style Blue and White Porcelain Umbrella Stand - A cylindrical ceramic umbrella or stick stand decorated in underglaze blue on a white ground. The exterior features two primary panels: one depicting a traditional Chinoiserie river landscape with pagodas, figures, a bridge, and mountains; the other featuring a continuous floral and foliate scroll design. The top of the cylinder is finished with a geometric lattice border and a band of stylized pendant ruyi or heart-shaped motifs, while the base is finished with a matching decorative band. The unglazed underside of the base is marked with blue printed text that reads NOT FOR FOOD USE — MAY POISON FOOD FOR DECORATIVE PURPOSES ONLY. A small impressed mark, appearing to be the letter H, is also present on the base. Height: 18.25 inches (measured in Image 4).
