We try to get the deliveries out of the gallery within two business days at the latest. The delivery time of the items depends on the Israeli post and global post work. Zinovy (Zyama) Telesin (1907 - 1996) was born on July 15, 1907 in Kalinkovichi (Gomel region of Belarus) into a large family of a craftsman, attended the cheder (before it was closed by the authorities), then worked with his father as a tinsmith-roofer, having mastered the profession to perfection. In 1929 he left for Moscow and entered the Jewish department of the literary faculty of Moscow University (graduated in 1935). Together with his wife, poetess Rachel Baumvol, a graduate of the same department, he was sent to Minsk, worked as an editor at a state publishing house and published his poems in the Jewish press. The first two collections of poetry were published in Minsk - “Oif mein eygener erd” (“On the Native Land”, 1939) and “Leader un poemen” (“Poems and Poems”, 1941). During World War II, Telesin voluntarily went to the front as a private and was demobilized at the end of 1945 (after a severe shell shock) with the rank of captain.
In the post-war years, Telesin lived in Moscow. Two of his poetry books were published in Yiddish - “Oif der Lichtiger Velt” (“In a Bright World”, M., 1957) and “Oif Maine Ahraes” (“On My Responsibility”, M., 1968). Two collections of translations of his poems, “Deep Roots” (1957) and “Close to the Heart” (1965), were also published in Moscow in Russian, and five illustrated children’s books were published in “Detgiz”. Telesin's poems were translated by such famous poets as M. Svetlov, Y. Kozlovsky, Yulia Neiman, Adelina Adalis, Tatyana Spendiarova and others, as well as his wife and son Julius.
Telesin’s first publications showed that an original poet had come to Jewish literature, with an excellent command of the folk language that was heard in his parents’ house in Belarus. Landscapes of Polesie occupied a prominent place in the lyrics, and in everyday sketches - the customs and morals of the people of the town. In Hebrew poetry he was a master of the figurative, poetic description of labor; The characters in his early poems are a blacksmith, a carpenter, a stove maker, a seamstress, and a shoemaker.
In 1971, Telesin and his wife immigrated to Israel. The departure was preceded by searches, harassment and intimidation by the authorities, mainly related to the son’s human rights and dissident activities.
Telesin’s collections of poetry were published in Israel: “Gevain fun zicorn” (“Lament of Memory”, 1972), “Kometz Aleph - o” (the phrase with which the study of the Hebrew alphabet began, 1980), “Der veg funem foigl” (“The path of the bird”) ”, 1976), “Dos nicele vos fift” (“Whistling Nut”, 1992), which indicated a new creative upsurge of the poet. Preserving his inherent elements of folk poetry (simplicity and clarity of thought, aphorism, sincerity, subtle humor), Telesin enriched his poetic language with sonorous rhyming combinations of Slavicisms and Hebraisms. Poems appeared dedicated to close friends who died in the dungeons of the KGB - Jewish poets. The gallery of heroes of the war against the Nazis was replenished with images of Israeli fighters, and the inspired landscapes of Jerusalem, the Jezreel Valley, and the Negev were organically added to the landscapes of Polesie. Some of Telesin's Israeli poems were set to music (in particular, by composer Ts. Paikin) and sounded at concerts and on the radio.
Telesin is a laureate of the most prestigious Yiddish literature award named after I. Manger (1990), also awarded the prize of the Union of Jewish Writers and Journalists (1979), the Kdoshey Lublin prize (1972), etc.
Zinovy Telesin died in 1996 in Jerusalem. Зиновий (Зяма) Телесин (1907 – 1996) родился 15 июля 1907 года в Калинковичах (Гомельская область Белоруссии) в многодетной семье ремесленника, посещал хедер (до его закрытия властями), затем работал с отцом жестянщиком-кровельщиком, овладев в совершенстве профессией. В 1929 году уехал в Москву, поступил на еврейское отделение литературного факультета Московского университета (закончил в 1935 г.). Вместе с женой, поэтессой Рахиль Баумволь, выпускницей того же отделения, был направлен в Минск, работал редактором государственного издательства и публиковал свои стихи в еврейской прессе. В Минске вышли в свет первые два поэтических сборника — “Ойф майн эйгенер эрд” (“На родной земле”, 1939) и “Лидер ун поэмен” (“Стихи и поэмы”, 1941). В годы 2-й мировой войны Телесин добровольно пошел на фронт рядовым и был демобилизован в конце 1945 года (после тяжелой контузии) в звании капитана.
В послевоенные годы Телесин жил в Москве. Две его стихотворные книги были изданы на идиш — “Ойф дер лихтигер велт” (“В светлом мире”, М., 1957) и “Ойф майне ахраес” (“На мою ответственность”, М., 1968). В Москве вышли также на русском языке два сборника переводов его стихотворений — “Глубокие корни” (1957) и “Близко к сердцу” (1965), и в “Детгизе” — пять иллюстрированных детских книг. Стихи Телесина переводили такие известные поэты, как М. Светлов, Я. Козловский, Юлия Нейман, Аделина Адалис, Татьяна Спендиарова и другие, а также жена и сын Юлиус.
Первые же публикации Телесина показали, что в еврейскую литературу пришел самобытный поэт, отлично владеющий народным языком, который звучал в доме его родителей в Белоруссии. В лирике видное место занимали пейзажи Полесья, в бытовых зарисовках — обычаи и нравы людей местечка. В еврейской поэзии он был мастером образного, поэтического описания труда; персонажи его ранних стихотворений — кузнец, плотник, печник, швея, сапожник.
В 1971 году Телесин с женой репатриировались в Израиль. Выезду предшествовали обыски, преследования и запугивания со стороны властей, связанные, главным образом, с правозащитной и диссидентской деятельностью сына.
В Израиле вышли стихотворные сборники Телесина: “Гевейн фун зикорн” (“Плач памяти”, 1972), “Комец алеф — о” (фраза, с которой начиналось изучение еврейской азбуки, 1980), “Дер вег фунем фойгл” (“Путь птицы”, 1976), “Дос ниселе вос файфт” (“Свистящий орешек”, 1992), что свидетельствовало о новом творческом подъеме поэта. Сохранив присущие ему элементы народной поэзии (простота и ясность мысли, афористичность, задушевность, тонкий юмор), Телесин обогатил свой поэтический язык звучными рифмующимися сочетаниями славянизмов и гебраизмов. Появились стихи, посвященные близким друзьям, погибшим в застенках КГБ, — еврейским поэтам. Галерея героев войны с нацистами пополнилась образами борцов Израиля, к пейзажам Полесья органически прибавились одухотворенные пейзажи Иерусалима, Изреельской долины, Негева. Некоторые израильские стихи Телесина положены на музыку (в частности, композитором Ц. Пайкиным) и звучат на концертах и по радио.
Телесин — лауреат самой престижной в литературе на идиш премии имени И. Мангера (1990), награжден также премией Союза еврейских писателей и журналистов (1979), премией “Кдошей Люблин” (1972) и др.
Умер Зиновий Телесин в 1996 году в Иерусалиме.
