"Splinters" is a humorous literary and artistic weekly magazine. It was published in St. Petersburg from 1881 to 1916.
In the first year of the magazine's existence, its editor was Roman Romanovich Golike, who previously published the art weekly "Collection of paintings". From 1882 to 1906, the publisher and editor of the magazine was a popular writer Nikolai Alexandrovich Leikin. From 1906 to 1908, the editorial office is headed by writer-humorist Victor Viktorovich Bilibin under the pseudonym I. Grek.
In the 80-ies of the XIX century "Fragments" — the most liberal of the Russian comic magazines. It actively cooperates in the early years of his work AP Chekhov.
