Oil on canvas, framed measurements: 89 x 75, canvas measurements: 68 x 54 cm. Segura Ezquerro, born in the Andalusian city of Almería, in 1897, studied Fine Arts in the city of his birth; He graduated from the Royal Academy of San Fernando, in Madrid, where he had among his teachers the well-known Cordovan painter Julio Romero de Torres. In 1931 he returned to Spain until 1939 when the Spanish Civil War ended, at this time he continued painting and held two exhibitions at the Circulo de Bellas Artes in Madrid, one in 1931 and the other in 1934. In 1939 he returned to Cuba and would not return to Spain, here he makes innumerable portraits of Cuban personalities, paintings of a religious nature "The Death of San Francisco". He continues to hold seventeen exhibitions in Havana, until his death in 1963.
