German Westerwald Salt-Glazed Stoneware Dispenser - Item/Description: Traditional barrel-form stoneware beverage dispenser featuring a relief pattern of fruiting grapevines highlighted in vibrant cobalt blue glaze. Punch, wine, or cider dispenser. Front upper shoulder is impressed with a ”6L.” capacity mark. Matching lid is surmounted by an intricately sculpted figural finial depicting a bearded gnome (weinshrat) holding a cluster of grapes and a drinking vessel. Lower body incorporates an open bunghole fitted with a functional spigot tap and cork assembly.
