Wedgwood Dark Blue Jasperware Lidded Tobacco Jar - Item/Description: Late Victorian-era stoneware Wedgwood dark blue jasper dip covered tobacco jar, manufactured in England. Cylindrical jar features finely detailed, sprigged white stoneware relief applications depicting classical Greco-Roman maidens amidst sacrificial alters, trees, and continuous floral foliage, paired with an original matching domed lid adorned with a stylized oak leaf border and a molded acorn finial. This traditional colorway, known as dark cobalt or dark blue dip, showcases the height of Wedgwood's Neoclassical revival production during the turn of the century.
