Japonisme style. Reverse bears the underglaze blue studio script signature for the ”Atelier de Peinture / F. Laurin” alongside the location initials ”B.la R.” for the historic workshop in Bourg-la-Reine, France. Francois Laurin was a prominent ceramic manufacturer and artist (French, 1826-1901) who revolutionized late 19th-century art pottery by introducing Impressionistic barbotine slip-painted decorations and partnering with luxury Parisian distributors like L'Escalier de Cristal.
