Stamped on the underside ”Meridan Company” along with the company shield logo and catalog pattern number 357. Sculpture depicts a vintage golfer in full mid-swing attired in period knickerbockers, standing fixed to a rectangular plinth detailed with a relief floral border and flanked by a dual-curved tubular pipe cradle. Produced during the height of the early 1900s American golf boom, this piece exemplifies the era's popular cross-marketing of sporting themes within gentlemen's tobacciana.
