Vintage original, 1896 color lithographic advertisement print for The Ault & Wiborg Co., a highly prominent manufacturer of lithographic and letterpress printing inks, based in Cincinnati. Artwork by American artist and illustrator George Willard Bonte (G.W. Bonte). The Ault & Wiborg Co. commissioned leading graphic artists to create Art Nouveau illustrations that served a dual purpose: they were stunning commercial advertisements and dynamic ”specimen sheets” that demonstrated the precise saturation, contrast, and color quality of the company's premium inks to professional print shops.
