Signed JL Zuni Sunface Inlaid Sterling - Item/Description: Signed JL Native American sunface inlaid choker necklace. Hand-crafted in Sterling Silver it showcases a trio of sunface stations beautifully inlaid with slices of polished turquoise, mother of pearl, coral and jet. Center station, the largest, is flanked by two smaller stations. Blending of organic and geometric designs. Channel inlay technique. Paper link-like flat necklace chain. Hook and loop closure. Hallmarked: JL. The Sunface symbol is central to the Zuni culture as it represents the sacred Sun Father. It symbolizes sustenance, continuity of crops, stability and life, positive energy, peace happiness and abundance. The materials used for the Sunface also have significance in the Zuni tradition. Coral provides protection and comfort; turquoise facilitates connection between the physical and spiritual; and mother-of-pearl symbolizes intuition and imagination.
