Signed Sterling Abalone Ring & Bangles Lot -Mexico - Item/Description: Two piece signed Mexican Sterling Silver lot consisting of a modernist ring by JRI jewelry company and two bangle bracelets. Each crafted in Sterling Silver and set with inlaid abalone shell. The ring is an open design, currently a size 9 1/2-10 1/2. It is a sleek tapered design, bezel set with an iridescent slice of natural abalone shell in soft beautiful pastel hues. Hallmarked: Mexico 925 JRI Material: Sterling Silver, Abalone shell Dimensions Ring: Crown Length: 1”; Crown Width: 3/4”; approximately 9.6 grams; size 9 1/2- 10 1/2. Condition: Very Good. Free of dents, dings, damage, repair. Abalone shell intact. Free of chips, cracks, loss. Signs of age, use, and surface wear including scratches, scuffs, patina. Age: Mid 20th Century The thinner bangle is inlaid with channel set slices of abalone. Seamless workmanship. Hallmarked: (partially visible): Taxco Mexico 925 Material: Sterling Silver, Abalone Shell Dimensions: Length: 8 1/2” (outer circumference); Band Width: 1/8”; Diameter Width: 2 1/2” Condition: Good. Silver free of dents, dings, repair. Abalone largely intact and inlay without gaps. Signs of age, use, and wear including abrasions to shell, several areas of chipping (noticeable under magnification); patina. Age: Mid 20th Century The larger width bangle is also inlaid with channel set slices of abalone in brighter and lighter in hues. Its edges are also wider. The bangle has a seam.
