Native American Silver & Turquoise Naja Necklace - Item/Description: Outstanding Native American studio artisan turquoise Naja necklace. Hand-strung over the head strand consists of large beautifully polished and contoured azure blue turquoise nuggets. Varied shapes and graduated in size with beautiful natural matrix. Strung on cotton blend twine. Each stone interspersed with groupings of dark brown circular shell beads. The Naja pendant of silver plate is elaborate in design and form and accented with a pair of pale blue turquoise cabochon stones. The top of the necklace is wrapped tightly with cotton blend twine. Unsigned. Material: Turquoise, Silver Plate, Shell, Twine Dimensions: Necklace Length: 34”; Strand Width: approximately 1”; Pendant Length: 2” (including bale); Width: 5/8”; approximately 150 grams Condition: Very Good. All turquoise stones are free of chips, cracks, damage. All shells present. No gaps in strand. Twine tight. Signs of age, use, and wear include scratches, areas of edges of several shell beads, discoloration/aging to cotton twine, patina to naja. Necklace has not been cleaned or polished.
