Art Nouveau Limoges Hand Painted Porcelain Bowl - Item/Description: Limoges porcelain 'blank' footed bowl manufactured in France by Delinieres & Co. (D&C), imported and hand-painted in the United States. Design features a soft blue base with gilt trim, dark upper rim with stylized purple leaves and berries. Base with green ”D&C France” backstamp. Hand painted artist signature reads: ”Morgan / Des Moines Iowa”. During the late 19th and early 20th centuries, it was highly popular to import white unadorned porcelain ”blanks” from renowned factories in Limoges, France, to be decorated by hobbyists or professional studio artists across America.
