Herend Dancing Couple Figurine, 5512 - This is a hand painted porcelain figurine by Herend, Hungary. Known as the Glad/Gay Lads figurine 5512 it depicts two men walking arm in arm. The figure on the left is a musician who is trying to steady his inebriated companion. The right side figure is wearing traditional dance attire and is carrying a flask. The piece is hand decorated in polychrome colors and marked to the underside with a blue stamp Herend mark as well as an impressed “Herend” mark. Inscribed by hand “5512”.
