Tablet between his feet inscribed in French: ”Apres Le Moisson Des Lancers Lolivier Renaitra Plus Beau” ( translation: ”After the harvest of throws the olive tree will be reborn more beautiful.”) Base has title in relief letters. Impressed signature on the right top. Collection France foundry mark. Post Pugnam (After the Fight). A late 19th and early 20th Century French figure sculptor, Picault is best known for his allegory, mythology and patriotic subjects. Material: White metal.
