Vintage Scottish Lucky Grouse Foot Kilt Pin - Item/Description: Worn for good luck, this unique brooch is fashioned from a a clawed grouse foot and set with a bright amber glass stone. A grouse is a game bird, chiefly ground-dwelling birds, (family Tetraonidae). Silver plated mounting; finial embossed with a thistle motif. Simple curved C clasp, hinged pin. Hallmarks include: WBs (Ward Brothers Scotland) and three Scottish stamps. These pins were often attached to the kilts of hunting Scotsmen for good luck.
