Antique 9K Lorgnette Eye Glasses - Item/Description: Wonderful, early 19th Century lorgnette eyeglasses. Basket weave gold work handle with O loop for hanging. Lever on side springs open the eye glasses. Lenses fold in against themselves in closed position. Unmarked ( tested as 9 Karat Gold). Material: 9 Karat Gold. Dimensions: Length: 3”; Width: 1 1/2”; approximately 19 grams. Condition: Very Good, light scratches to lenses; surface wear to gold, particularly to terminal hanging loop where gold was tested.
