Hallmarked in cartouche: Alice Caviness 12/20 G.F. Alice Caviness began designing jewelry in the late 1940s with a showroom in New York City. Her jewelry was sold in high end department stores and was known for sterling and gold-on-sterling jewelry, cloisonne enamels and filigree pieces. The company made jewelry until 2000. Material: 12K Gold Filled Metal. Dimensions: Length: 7 1/2”; Width: 3/4”; approximately 21.6 grams. Condition: Good. Surface and use wear includes scratches and three spots of soldering to tops of links in mid-section. Push in clasp clicks shut securely. Age: 1940s-1960s. Provenance: Private Estate.
