Mexican Sterling, Abalone & Enamel Sombrero Pin - Item/Description: Miniature figural sombrero pin fashioned from Sterling Silver and inlaid with black enamel with slices of abalone accents. The craftsmanship on such a small piece is very fine; especially the way the silver has been incised to mimic embroidery. Roll over c clasp. Hallmarked: G.C.01 925. This whimsical brooch is approximately 1 1/4” long x 3/4” wide and weighs 2 gms. Material: Sterling Silver, enamel, abalone shell Dimensions: Length: 1 1/4”; Width: 3/4”; approximately 2 grams Condition: Very Good. Enamel intact. Surface use and age wear includes light scratches, patina, tarnish. Pin closure in good working order, slight bend to pin.
