Antique Egyptian Revival Faience Scarab Necklace - Item/Description: Art Deco Egyptian Revival scarab bead necklace. Fashioned from Sterling Silver and round and rectangular bead accents with a wonderfully carved blue- green Faience scarab beetle. On underside is a hieroglyphic pictorial. Old spring-ring clasp. Hallmarked: Sterling on clasp. Material: Sterling Silver, faeince stone Dimensions: Length: 15” (chain); Scarab Length: 3/4” Width: 5/8”; approximately 6 grams Condition: Good. Chain free of kinks, Beads free of dents. Spring-ring clasp in good working order. Opens smoothly, closes securely. Scarab bead free of damage, cracks. Surface use and age wear includes heavy tarnish to silver chain and beads, scuffs to scarab bead, dust in crevices. Has not been cleaned or polished.
