Standing Cast Iron Altar Cross - Cruz Cielo - Item/Description: Ornate, Spanish wrought iron 'Cruz Cielo', or Sky Cross, mounted on carved wood pillar. Standing cast iron Altar Cross features a central Madonna / Virgin Mary figure. Card and info adhered to base bottom reads in part: Cruz Cielo / Spain, ca 1880. (Architectural Element, Crucifix, Religious Artifact) Material: Iron, Wood Dimensions: Length: 11”; Height: 15 3/8”. Including base: Height: 20”; Width: 5” Condition: Signs of age and wear include oxidation, pitting and discoloration to iron. Cracking and chipping to wood.
