Abel Landry Art Nouveau Bronze Fireplace Screen - Item/Description: This Art Nouveau era fire screen is by noted French designer, Abel Landry (1871 -1923). It is crafted from bronze and mesh and decorated in a repousse organic design depicting floral motif of stylized lilies, vines and vegetation. Landry created furniture, metalwork and other objects and sold his work He was one of the Art Nouveau artists who sold his work at La Maison Moderne in Paris in the 1900s. Material: Bronze, metal mesh Dimensions: Height: 30 1/2”; Width: 28”; Depth: 3 7/8” Condition: Signs of age and wear include surface scratches and oxidation. Age: 1906 Provenance: Jaidi Collection.
