Rabbi Yisroel Grossman Oil Painting Portrait
Item/Description: Original oil painting portrait of Rabbi Yisroel Grossman (1922-2007) of Jerusalem Israel. Renowned Torah scholar, posek and head of the Pinsk-Karlin Yeshiva in Jerusalem. This illustrious rabbi was a member of the Karlin- Stolin Chasidic dynasty established in Lithuania-Belarus in the 18th Century. Masterfully executed. Unknown Russian artist, no visible signature. Gilt wood ornate frame, hanging hardware. Rabbi Grossman's legacy includes his son, Rabbi Yitzchak David Grossman himself a renowned and beloved figure in Israel involved in outreach for at risk youth and the underprivileged.
