Item/Description: Original Alphonso Mucha, Czech (1860 - 1939) Art Nouveau color lithograph "Bieres de la Meuse". Signed in plate: Mucha. Printer: Imp. F. Champenois, Paris. Republique Francaise Seine stamp. Commissioned to promote the historic breweries of the Meuse River Valley, Depicting a beer-maiden with a wreath of hops and wheat and poppies. Below in grayscale, an image of the goddess of the river Meuse. On the left, the town of Bar-le-Duc, capital of the Meuse departement; on the right, Les Caves du Roi, Sevres, where a major brewery is located.

Dimensions: Height: 60"; Width: 40". Unframed.
Condition: Signs of age and wear include discoloration, staining, warping. Some fraying to linen edges.
