Civil War G.A.R. & War Record Certificate - Item/Description: Framed, color certificate of Government Accounts Registry and War Record, produced by the publishing company of James M. Vickroy. The certificate was never used and has not been filled with the information of a veteran. Thus the ”GAR & War Record” and ”In Memory of Comrade” sections are blank. The center photo of Lincoln was added after printing. The Illustrated Lithograph features Americas early presidents, Generals, War Heroes and chronological Civil war and post war scenes. Scenes include: battles of Sumter, Shiloh, and Gettysburg, Sheridan's Ride, soldiers burying one of their own, the surrender of General Robert E. Lee, families decorating the graves of fallen soldiers and a parade of Union soldiers coming home.
