Simmons Hardware Co. Keen Kutter K746 Hollow Ground Straight Razor with Progress Razor Box - A vintage American-made folding straight razor manufactured for the Simmons Hardware Company. The carbon steel blade features a hollow ground geometry. The front face of the blade is decorated with a rectangular etched banner containing the words HOLLOW and GROUND, flanking a central wedge-shaped logo that contains the brand name KEEN KUTTER. The tang is impressed on one side with the characters K 746 and the brand name KEEN KUTTER within a wedge logo. The reverse side of the tang is impressed with the text SIMMONS HDWE. CO. MFRS. & DISTRIBUTORS U.S.A. The handle consists of cream-colored celluloid scales with a faux-ivory grain pattern, secured by two silver-tone pins. The razor is accompanied by a two-piece cardboard slide box featuring a red paper finish. The left section of the box is printed with the text Progress Razor and THE ONLY PERFECT RAZOR IN THE WORLD. The right section displays a leaping deer logo above the words TRADE MARK, flanked by the phrases NONE GENUINE WITHOUT THIS and Germany.
