Louis XVI Style Mahogany Bureau Plat with Brass Mounts - FOR PICK UP OR TRANSPORT ONLY, WILL NOT SHIP A French Louis XVI style writing table, or bureau plat, constructed with mahogany and mahogany veneers. The rectangular top is finished with a peripheral molded edge surrounding an inset wood panel. The frieze contains two side-by-side drawers, each featuring recessed rectangular molding and a central circular brass escutcheon. The desk is designed with a finished back, featuring matching recessed molding to allow for placement in the center of a room. It is supported by four slender, tapered legs with vertical fluting, terminating in brass feet. Decorative brass mounts with foliate and laurel leaf motifs are present at the capitals and feet of the legs. The drawers are constructed with modern joinery and do not include keys.
