The back is constructed with an intricate woven cane panel in a radial sunburst pattern, centering a horizontal oval medallion. This medallion features a hand-painted polychrome floral bouquet against an ochre ground. The frame exhibits a distressed finish with the yellow undercoat visible through the black paint, particularly along the scrolled arms and top rail. The seat rail is decorated with a painted frieze of floral swags, while the square tapered legs feature painted geometric and husk motifs. The fixed, tight seat is upholstered in a cream-colored sateen fabric with a subtle vertical self-stripe.
