Monumental Neoclassical Cast Iron Garden Urn with Swan Handles - FOR PICK UP OR TRANSPORT ONLY, WILL NOT SHIP A large-scale monumental garden urn constructed of sand-cast iron. The vessel features a wide flaring rim with a gadrooned edge above a fluted neck. The bulbous body is decorated with high-relief floral and fruit swags suspended from decorative tassels. Two large figural handles are modeled as swans with arched necks, their stylized wings extending down the sides of the urn to serve as mounting points. The lower body is fluted and terminates in a flared foot resting on a large, stepped octagonal plinth base. Construction indicates multiple cast sections joined together. The surface shows remains of a verdigris green finish beneath heavy oxidation. The interior basin contains a circular wooden insert at the base.
