Large Hand-Painted Majolica Style Earthenware Vase with Fruit and Floral Decoration - A large earthenware vase in the majolica tradition, featuring a bulbous, tapering body set on a flared circular foot and rising to a cylindrical neck. The vessel is flanked by two sculptural, relief-molded handles at the shoulder, fashioned as scrolling architectural elements with a fluted texture, finished in an ochre and yellow glaze. The body is covered in a white tin-glaze ground characterized by a deliberate, fine all-over crackle finish. The hand-painted decoration is arranged in two primary vignettes: one side features a cluster of peaches and a blue plum among green leaves, while the reverse side depicts a yellow and blue flower surmounted by a cluster of grapes. These motifs are surrounded by cobalt blue scrolling tendrils, whimsical foliate patterns, and small red dots. The neck, shoulder, and base are accented with concentric cobalt blue bands, stylized wave patterns, and dot motifs. The interior of the neck shows the white crackle glaze continued from the exterior. No maker's marks, signatures, or factory stamps are visible on the exterior of the vessel.Height: Approximately 11.5 inchesWidth: Approximately 7.5 inches across the handles.
