The piece features a bombe silhouette with a serpentine front and three drawers. The primary exterior is finished in a wood veneer, likely fruitwood, accented by lighter wood marquetry inlay in a scrolling foliate and cartouche motif on the drawer fronts and side panels. The drawers are constructed with straight-cut joinery on the sides, finished with a dark stain that matches the secondary wood of the back panel. The chest is surmounted by a fitted green marble top featuring prominent white and ochre veining. Decorative cast metal mounts with a dark patina are applied to the shoulders, and the cabriole legs terminate in matching cast metal sabots. The drawer pulls consist of simple circular knobs.
