Colonial Manufacturing Co. Mahogany Moon Phase Triple Chime Grandfather Clock - FOR PICK UP OR TRANSPORT ONLY, WILL NOT SHIP A mahogany grandfather clock by the Colonial Manufacturing Co. of Zeeland, Michigan. The case features a broken-pediment top with a central turned finial above an arched hood supported by fluted pilasters. The waist section includes beveled glass panels on the front and sides, with pierced wooden sound frets located on the upper sides of the hood. The base is decorated with inset flame mahogany veneers and stands on bracket feet. The arched brass dial features an etched scrollwork center and spandrels, a brushed silver-tone chapter ring with Arabic numerals, a secondary seconds dial, and a moon phase complication in the arch. The clock utilizes a mechanical weight-driven movement powered by three brass weights and a pendulum with a decorative lyre-shaped support. A chime selector lever on the right side of the dial indicates options for Westminster, Whittington, and St. Michael chimes, as well as a silent mode. The dial face is marked Colonial Est. 1899 Zeeland in the arch and Whitt. St. Mich. Westm. Silent on the right edge.
