American Drew Blockfront Cherry Bachelor Chest of Drawers - FOR PICK UP OR TRANSPORT ONLY, WILL NOT SHIP A bachelor chest of drawers constructed by American Drew, featuring a blockfront facade inspired by 18th-century Newport cabinetry. The primary wood is cherry with a rich reddish-brown finish, while the secondary wood visible in the drawer interiors is a lighter-toned wood, likely poplar or pine. The chest features four drawers, with the top tier divided into three shell-carved motifs. The center shell is concave, flanked by two convex shells that serve as functional drawer fronts. The lower three drawers follow the undulating blockfront form. The unit is supported by ogee bracket feet and a molded base. The drawers are constructed with dovetail joints. The chest is fitted with brass-toned hardware, including ornate bail handles with decorative openwork backplates and matching escutcheons on the three lower drawers. The top tier features two small brass ring pulls centered on the outer shell carvings.
