Regency Style Ebonized and Gilded Open Armchair - A Regency style open armchair featuring an ebonized finish with gilded accents. The chair is constructed with a curved crest rail above a pierced splat featuring a double-hourglass motif embellished with gold-painted detailing. The swept-back arms terminate in scrolls and are decorated with carved acanthus leaf handrests highlighted in gold. The seat is a fixed, padded cushion upholstered in a neutral champagne-colored textile. The frame is supported by two turned and ringed front legs with gilded bands and two flared saber-style back legs. Construction includes modern Phillips-head screws visible on the interior and exterior of the back stiles.
