The hand-carved hardwood frame features a serpentine top rail and is decorated with a central shell and floral cresting on the seat rail. The padded arms terminate in scrolled manchettes, supported by curved arm rests. The chair is fully upholstered in a contemporary, maximalist textile featuring red horizontal stripes overlaid with undulating vertical bands in cream, tan, and light blue, containing black animal-print leopard spots. The upholstery is finished with matching fabric piping. The chair stands on four cabriole legs, the front two terminating in scroll feet.
