Maitland-Smith Philippine Handmade Patinated Bronze Finish Elephant and Tessellated Stone Mantel Clock - A Philippine decorative mantel clock featuring a figural sculpture of a seated elephant with its trunk raised. The elephant has a dark, textured surface with a patinated bronze finish and is balanced atop a spherical orb. This orb is constructed from tessellated stone or shell sections. The entirety is mounted upon a stepped pedestal base comprised of a dark green marble with white veining set over a solid black stone plinth. The clock face is inset into the side of the tessellated orb, featuring a circular white dial with black Roman numeral hour markers, a railroad minute track, and a silver-tone bezel. The dial is marked QUARTZ centered above the six o'clock position and MOVT JAPAN along the lower edge. The underside of the base features an adhesive gold-tone rectangular label that reads MAITLAND-SMITH HAND MADE IN PHILIPPINES.
