A Trio of Natural History Specimens on Pedestal Stands - A trio of marine gastropod specimens, each presented on an adjustable metal display stand. The first specimen is a white Murex shell featuring brown-tipped frondose spines and a calcified exterior. The central specimen is a Ramose Murex (Chicoreus ramosus), a large, robust white shell with elaborate frilled spines along the varices. The third specimen is an Indian Volute or Bailer Shell (Melo melo), characterized by a smooth, polished pale peach exterior and a high-gloss deep orange aperture. Each shell is mounted on a three-pronged metal armature atop a turned, pedestal-style metal base with a weighted circular foot and an aged pewter-toned finish.
