Vintage Hand Stitched Cotton Feed Sack Patchwork Quilt - A vintage American patchwork quilt featuring a hand-stitched construction with a variety of printed and solid cotton fabrics. The central field is composed of a complex mosaic pattern featuring alternating four-patch blocks and star-point diamonds set against a cream-colored cotton ground. The fabrics include a diverse range of 1930s and 1940s era feed sack prints, such as florals, stripes, plaids, and ginghams. The quilt is detailed with dense, hand-quilted linear and curved stitching across the entire surface. It is finished with two distinct decorative borders: a pieced red and white diagonal striped inner border on the top and bottom, and red floral print side borders. The entire perimeter is finished with a cream-colored fabric binding. The reverse side consists of a solid cream cotton backing showing the extensive hand-quilting stitches.
