Bidspirit auction | A Collection of Four Glass

A Collection of Four Glass Hen on Nest Miniature Salt Cellars - A set of four miniature pressed glass hen-on-nest salt cellars. The group features four distinct colors and glass types. One hen is composed of opaque slag glass with marbled light blue and white swirls. The remaining three are transparent, including one colorless clear glass, one light amber or peach glass, and one ruby red glass. Each piece is constructed in two parts, featuring a figural lid in the form of a seated hen and a matching base with a woven basket texture. The hens are detailed with molded feathers, beaks, and combs. The blue slag glass hen displays dark mineral inclusions near the base of the lid, consistent with the manufacturing process of this material. No maker's marks or signatures are visible on the exterior surfaces of the pieces.Width: 2 1/2 inchesHeight: 2 1/4 inches.
