A Pair of Ball Perfect Mason Blue Glass Quart Canning Jars with Zinc Lids - A pair of antique quart-sized canning jars manufactured from translucent aqua-blue glass. Each jar features a molded cylindrical body with rounded shoulders and a regular mouth. The front of each vessel displays embossed lettering in a combination of script and block styles. The top line is a stylized script logo reading Ball, followed by the block-lettered words PERFECT and MASON. The jars are characterized by manufacturing features common to early 20th-century machine-made glass, including visible air bubbles trapped within the glass walls and faint vertical mold seams. The bases of the jars are impressed with single-digit numbers: one jar is marked with the numeral 4 and the other with the numeral 2. Both jars are fitted with their original zinc screw-top lids, which feature a threaded design for securing to the glass rim.Height: 7 inches.
