Large Antique Two Tone Brown Stoneware Heavy Rim Mixing Bowl - A large, utilitarian stoneware mixing bowl featuring a deep circular form and a pronounced, straight-sided overhanging shoulder or heavy rim. The vessel is finished in a two-tone glaze scheme typical of 19th and early 20th-century American kitchenware. The interior and the exterior body below the shoulder are covered in a dark, glossy, iron-rich brown glaze consistent with Albany slip. The exterior rim displays a lighter, mottled tan and brown coloration, likely the result of fire-flashing or a different slip application during the kiln process. The underside shows a dark glaze with multiple manufacturing irregularities, including kiln stilt marks and small circular depressions.
