Antique Two Tone Stoneware Beehive Whiskey Jug with Handle and Cork - This antique American utilitarian stoneware whiskey jug features a classic beehive or stacker form with a cylindrical body and a rounded, domed shoulder. The piece is constructed with a single loop handle attached at the neck and shoulder. The exterior displays a two-tone salt glaze finish: a dark brown-to-black Albany-style slip glaze covers the top portion including the spout, handle, and shoulder, while the lower cylindrical body is finished in a light tan or cream-colored glaze. The jug is fitted with a single cork stopper. The surface shows characteristic kiln effects such as glaze pops and firing pits, typical of period production methods.
