Bohemian Style Cut Crystal Pedestal Compote with Bird Medallions and Domed Lid - A large lead crystal pedestal compote with a matching domed lid, featuring a combination of geometric cutting and pictorial etching. The vessel and lid are primarily clear crystal worked in a deep daisy and button pattern, characterized by sharp hobnail-style facets. The piece is accented with ruby flash glass medallions—three on the bowl and three on the lid. Each oval medallion features a frosted etching of a bird perched on a leafy branch. The lid is topped with a faceted ring finial. The bowl rests on a multi-faceted stem and a flared pedestal base, which is finished with a deep sunburst or starburst cut to the underside. The scalloped rims of both the bowl and the lid are designed to fit together securely.
