Bidspirit auction | A Pair of Amber Pressed

A Pair of Amber Pressed Glass Compotes in the Moon and Star Pattern - This pair of amber-colored pressed glass items features the popular Moon and Star pattern, characterized by a series of deep oval thumbprints alternating with raised starburst motifs. The collection includes two distinct forms. The first piece is a round, footed bowl with a straight scalloped rim and a low pedestal base. The pattern repeats across the body and around the circumference of the base. The second piece is a pedestaled candy dish with a flared, ruffled scalloped rim and a turned stem leading to a domed foot. Both pieces exhibit a vibrant, translucent amber hue consistent across the glass. The interiors of the bowls are smooth, while the exterior surfaces are deeply textured by the pressed pattern. No maker's marks, signatures, or labels are visible on either piece.Low bowl diameter: 6 inchesLow bowl height: 3.5 inchesTall compote diameter: 6.5 inchesTall compote height: 5.25 inches.
