Large Amber Pressed Glass Pedestal Bowl with Star and Cane Pattern - This is a large American pressed glass pedestal bowl in a rich amber color. The circular form features a scalloped and serrated rim, with a deep body decorated in a complex pattern of multi-pointed stars, alternating with panels of fine cross-hatched hobnails and vertical ribbing, often referred to as a star and cane or button and daisy style. The bowl is set upon a short, ribbed pedestal connector that leads to a heavy, molded hexagonal base. The base is smooth and lacks any visible maker marks, signatures, or pontil marks, indicating its origin as machine-pressed glassware.
