Lorcin Model L380 .380 ACP Semi-Automatic Pistol - This American-made semi-automatic pistol features a bright chrome-plated finish and black textured synthetic grip panels. The left side of the slide is marked with an impressed logo and text reading LORCIN MIRA LOMA, CA. U.S.A. (photo 5). The right side of the slide bears an impressed circular logo and text reading MODEL L380 .380 CAL. AUTO. (photo 1). The right side of the frame is struck with the serial number 527478. The pistol is configured with a slide-mounted manual safety lever, a fixed front sight blade with red paint, a fixed rear notch sight, and a heel-release magazine mechanism. The frame and slide are constructed of cast alloy. An attached handwritten tag identifies the item as a Lorcin L380, .380 Pistol, S/N 527478, and includes the date 1964; however, the manufacturer Lorcin Engineering was in operation during the 1990s. The pistol has an overall length of approximately 6.5 inches (photo 7).
