Smith and Wesson Model 642-2 Airweight Revolver - A Smith and Wesson Model 642-2 Airweight double-action-only revolver chambered for .38 Special +P cartridges. This American-made firearm features a five-shot stainless steel cylinder and a 1.875-inch barrel integrated into a matte silver-finished aluminum alloy J-frame with an enclosed internal hammer. The left side of the barrel is stamped with the manufacturer name Smith and Wesson. The right side of the barrel is stamped with the text Airweight 38 SPL. CTG. The right side of the frame features a four-line address reading MADE IN U.S.A. MARCAS REGISTRADAS SMITH and WESSON SPRINGFIELD, MASS. The Smith and Wesson trademark logo is stamped on the left side of the frame behind the cylinder and again on the right side of the frame below the thumbpiece. The frame is marked with serial number BMA2222. The revolver is fitted with a black textured synthetic finger-groove grip secured by a single screw. A tan paper inventory tag is attached to the trigger guard with a cord, bearing handwritten text identifying the model and serial number. Overall length: 6.25 inches.
