This Spanish-made firearm features a 24-inch blued octagonal barrel and a light-colored wood stock fitted with a black rubber recoil pad and a black nylon sling. The percussion lock plate is finished in a case-hardened style, featuring a hammer with scroll-pattern engraving. The rifle is equipped with a brass blade front sight and an adjustable rear notch sight, and includes a brown composite ramrod secured beneath the barrel. The right side of the barrel is marked with a serial number 352315 and reads DEERHUNTER R.54 CL. 1-48. The left side of the barrel features several printed inscriptions including TRADITIONS, INC. BLACK POWDER OR PYRODEX ONLY INSTRUCTIONS MUST BE READ, Deep River C.T. U.S.A. DO NOT USE SMOKELESS POWDER, and BEFORE USE MADE IN SPAIN.
