Winchester Model 70 Bolt-Action Rifle in .270 W.C.F. - This Winchester Model 70 bolt-action rifle features a pre-1964 controlled-round feed action. The rifle is constructed with a blued steel barrel and receiver mounted in a checkered walnut stock. The left side of the receiver is stamped with an impressed mark reading WINCHESTER over -TRADE MARK-. The left side of the barrel bears impressed characters reading MADE IN NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S. OF AMERICA followed by WINCHESTER - MODEL 70 - 270 W.C.F. and -TRADE MARK-. On the right side of the receiver, the serial number 108968 is stamped. The firearm is equipped with a hooded front sight and an adjustable rear leaf sight. The bolt features a three-position safety marked SAFE and FIRE. The stock includes a checkered pistol grip and forend, a metal buttplate, and is fitted with a multi-point adjustable leather sling. A paper tag is attached to the trigger guard with handwritten text reading WINCHESTER Model 70 cal. 270 W.C.F. and SN: 108968. Overall length: approximately 46 1/2 inches.
