Mossberg Model 500A Pump Action Shotgun 12 Gauge - A Mossberg Model 500A pump-action shotgun manufactured in the United States. This firearm features an 18.5-inch barrel with a blued finish and a cylinder bore. The receiver is also finished in a matching blued steel. The shotgun is fitted with a ribbed wood forend and a wood buttstock. The buttstock includes a brown vented rubber recoil pad and a rear sling swivel stud. The top of the barrel is stamped with the characters MOSSBERG MADE IN U.S.A. followed by CHAMBERED FOR 2 3/4 AND 3 IN. SHELLS — 12 GA. - 18 1/2 IN. CYLINDER BORE —. A safety warning is also stamped further down the barrel. The left side of the receiver is impressed with the serial number J550770. The bolt is visible through the ejection port and shows a natural metallic finish. A gold-toned bead sight is mounted at the muzzle. Attached to the trigger guard is a handwritten brown paper tag reading Mossberg Model 500A cal. 12GA S/N J550770. The overall length measures approximately 38 1/2 inches as shown by the tape measure.
